Golden Whistle for Hamish Jamson

English umpire Hamish Jamson received his golden whistle from FIH President Leandro Negre, as he has reached his 100th senior international game by umpiring the semifinal between Germany and Spain at the EuroHockey Nations Championships.

Hamish became the 28th male umpire to receive a golden whistle and the 3rd English umpire to do so.

His career highlights includes two European Cups in Barcelona 2003 and Manchester 2007, two World Cups, Kuala Lumpur and Monchengladbach, 3 Champions Trophies, Brisbane, Lahore and Terrassa; he started his international umpiring career at the Junior World Cup in Milton Keynes in 1997.
