Pakistan Team Announced for BDO Champions Challenge

The Selection Committee of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced 18 members squad for the BDO Champions Challenge I, to be played from 6-13 December in Salta, Argentina.

Eight teams are divided in to two pools. Pool A comprises on Belgium, China, India and New Zealand, while pool B comprises on Pakistan, Argentina, South Africa and Canada.

After one day trials Chief Selector Hassan Sardar said in a press conference that this tournament will be the tough tournament for Pakistan and the players will have good training for the world cup. Hassan said that the team have capability to win this event.

The announced squad is Salman Akbar and Nasir Ahmad (Goal Keepers), Zeeshan Ashraf (Captain), Sohail Abbas and Muhammad Imran (Full Backs), Waseem Ahmad, Sajjad Anwar, Fareed Ahmad, Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Rashid (Half backs), Shakeel Abbasi, Muhammad Zubair, Muhammad Zubair, Rehan Butt, Abdul Haseem Khan, Akhtar Ali, Omer Bhutta and Muhammad Rizwan (Forwards).
