Girls weekend tournament from Swiss Hockey and Stade Lausanne Hockey Club was a big success!

The Global Youth Hockey Marathon in Switzerland this year in was celebrated in Lausanne. Swiss Hockey organised a weekend tournament  only for girls teams on the wonderful hockey pitch directly at the lake Leman. In the past there was a championship only for boys and mixed teams for the age group between nine and twelve. Based on the new concept to build up teams only for girls it was an attempt to motivate the clubs and girls to work for this idea.

It was a wonderful weekend with sunny weather in Lausanne. The girls played the hockey tournament and had a lot of fun and games on and arround the hockey pitch. Local organiser Mark Fenners from Stade Lausanne give the prices to following teams: 1. HC Olten  2. Black Boys (Girls) Genf 3. Stade Lausanne 4. Luzerner SC 5. Berner HC 6. Basler HC. The next tournament only for girls teams is scheduled already for August in Lucerne.
