Eduard TUBAU

Born in the hockey hotbed of Terrassa near Barcelona, Eduard Tubau began playing at the age of four and has now spent close to a decade scoring and creating goals for the Spanish national side.

His major tournament debut was at the 1999 Champions Trophy in Brisbane, and despite numerous close calls, his only gold medal has come at the 2005 European Championships in Leipzig. Three bronze medals have come his way courtesy of the Champions Trophy (2005 and 2006) and the 2006 World Cup.

Nicknamed 'Edi', he was nominated for the 2003 FIH Young Player of the Year award and in 2007 was a nominee for FIH 'Player of the Year'.

Tubau plays for Club Egara in his home town of Terrassa and has studied at the University of Barcelona.
