England indoor squad for matches against Scotland

England Hockey as selected the following squads for training and Test Matches versus Scotland in Paisley from 21-23 December 2007. This is the first competitive part of their preparation for the EuroHockey Indoor Nations Challenge which England Hockey is hosting in Sheffield, 18-20 January 2008.

The Womens squad is selected from the original training squad of 17 players.  From the original Mens  training squad, also of 17, Carl Smith (Loughborough Students) has withdrawn and is replaced by James Southgate. Nick Brothers and Richard Lane are unavailable and James Blackwell is injured.

Women’s squad:

Gemma Darrington, Cathy Gilliat-Smith, Heather Batten, Sarah Page, Natalie Seymour, Sally Walton, Ashleigh Ball, Harriet Cunningham, Emma Thomas, Dilly Newton, Alex Scott, Natasha Brennan, Kirsty Mackay, Becky Duggan.

Men’s squad:

Andy Gooderham, Tom Millington, Adam Dixon, Dan Fox, Richard Smith, Nick Page, David Beckett, James Southgate, Nick Catlin, Harry Jawanda, Gareth Andrew, Simon Egerton, Iain Mackay, Alastair Brogdon.

2000 hrs            England v Scotland – Men

Saturday 22 December  

1300 hrs            England v Scotland – Women
1635 hrs            England v Scotland – Men

Sunday 23 December    

1130 hrs            England v Scotland – Women
